ChopiNOWE IMPRESJE project
The aim of Czesław CzeT Minkus’ project is to realize the musical and film composition in the media spheres as a cartoon, musical film, in a NET version and, optionally depending on the budget, as an interactive DVD version and a website. The musical and transmedia composition is inspired, in all its spheres, by the life and works of Frederic Chopin’s. The realization of particular parts of the composition needs the involvement of specialists in various media fields, new technologies and appreciated, also internationally, Polish artists (musicians, actors, film-makers, choreographers, ballet). Accomplished Polish musicians will be invited to take part in the composition, that is, among others, Leszek Możdżer, Jan Pilch, Olga Szwajger, Michał Urbaniak. The premise of the composition is to bring closer to the contemporary audience Chopin’s output and the characteristic elements of his life thanks to modern tools, the language of new media and artistic ideas. The parallel work on spatial, visual (ballet, cartoon films) and musical forms will create the integrated and innovative transmedia composition, which will enable the audience of the 21th century to understand “ChopiNOWE IMPRESJE”.
Project promotion:
The “ChopiNOWE IMPRESJE” composition will broadly be promoted in Poland and all over the world in museums, universities and centres connected with Frederic Chopin. Because of the hybrid character of the project – TV and Internet broadcasting – the scale of this unconventional work will considerably be broaden. We are convinced that the whole undertaking, thanks to the promotional actions, will be warmly received not only by wide audience, but also by the audience of the most sophisticated forms of modern art, thus contributing to the enrichment of the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth with an original, multidimensional work of art.
The project has been granted a financial support as part of an open tender to realize public objectives of the Małopolskie commune in the field of culture in 2010. The tender was entitled “Chopin among the citizens of the Małopolskie commune”.
NH’49-’09 The ideal city
The foundation realized “NH’49-’09 The ideal city, epicenter urban song” in August 2009. It was a multidimensional music and media composition employing the electro-acoustic instruments (including the electronically processed trumpet), electronic ones, choirs, vocalises, spatial film projections and other interactive, mobile, audiovisual elements. The concert was organised to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Nowa Huta. The concert was honoured by the Minkus-TMAensemble band: Czesław CzeT Minkus (the author of the composition, electric trumpet), Dominik Bieńczycki (synthesizers), Rafał Mazur (electric bass guitar) and Filip Mozul (drums). The founders and people working for the foundation are experienced and accomplished artists who have many times taken part in the realization of artistic projects supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Legacy and other authorities of public administration.
